One of the things I want to do with my blog, in sha Allah, is give readers a “heads-up” for good works and spread the word about great causes. I received this in an e-mail this morning. Please check out this site and help if you can.

Assalamualaikum everyone,
Alhamdulillah Ramadhan has begun, and this is our opportunity to do as many good deeds possible. One of the very important acts that we all should do is give Sadaqa. Alhamdulillah we are blessed with so much and giving a little bit will be easy InshAllah… If you want to help in giving some Sadaqa Jaariya this is your chance!.
This is a story about one of my friends little boy name Yussuf Satar who was born on February 8th 2006 and is the first child. During his delivery, a lack of oxygen caused him to have brain damage in the form of Cerebral Palsy; as a result he has cortical visual impairment, cannot use his hands, feet, cannot sit and cannot speak. He is eating via a G tube. His hearing is normal. Doctors and therapists usually recommend 3 hours/day of physical therapy in order to the brain to its maximum possible. Yussuf’s brain was damaged and it needs to be reprogrammed. The more therapy he gets at this early age, the more chances his brain can learn the correct pattern of movement. This costs $120/hour.
So i urge all of you to PLEASE remember Yussuf in your prayers, especially in this blessed month and i urge all of you, after reading the site and getting to know Yussuf to help financially support him to keep the progress coming. Yussuf’s mother is planning another 6 month intensive CME physiotherapy and really needs your financial support. Please remember that any contribution counts, no matter how small you might think it is. Yussuf family contacted many scholars and confrimed that Zakat money can be used to cover Yussuf;s therapy costs.
