The Toronto Star’s Joe Fiorito is one of my favourite columnists. He find the most incredibly moving, human stories in the big bad city. His latest column is about the “little guy” faced with thoughtless competition by a huge multinational corporation. I know many of the big corporations also give to charities and community causes, but I am a sucker for the underdog. I very rarely go downtown, but if I did I would seek out this guy’s coffee shop and buy something, anything.
